Effective October 1, the Supervisory Board of Donau Versicherung has appointed Franz Josef Zeiler as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management. In this role, the 37-year-old Viennese will assume operational management of sales and report to Reinhard Gojer.
Zeiler’s areas of responsibility include core sales and DonauBrokerline. He also assumes the management function for the insurer’s nine regional offices.
Zeiler studied law in Vienna and Reading (UK) and received his doctorate in 2015 from the Financial Law Institute of the University of Vienna. After working at various commercial law firms, the Viennese native continued his career in investment management (mergers & acquisitions) at the Vienna Insurance Group from 2016 onwards.
From June 2019, he headed the Danube General Secretariat and built up the digitalization and innovation department. In 2022, Zeiler headed the Salzburg regional directorate on an interim basis. Since June 2023, he has been a member of the Extended Management Board with a focus on strategic projects in the field of digitalization and innovation.
