He hit mainstream audiences as Koos Dobbelsteen in “Zeg ‘ns Aaa”, one of the most popular Dutch sitcoms ever. It concerns family doctor and single mother Lydie van der Ploeg, her two children and her naïve “squeaky-voiced” housekeeper Mien. The series ran from 1981 to 1993 and is regularly repeated by the Dutch public broadcaster (NPO).
Leddy died in Den Bosch hospital, in the presence of his family. He will be buried privately in Heusden, where he has lived for the past 50 years.
