A woman in Middelburg in Zeeland was quite shocked on Wednesday evening when she found a snake in her bed. The reptile appeared to have taken refuge under her pillow, reports Walcheren Animal Welfare Foundation Thursday.
“While she was reading a book in her bed for a while, she felt a kind of tingling in her back and that became more and more”, according to the foundation. Much to her shock, the tingling was caused by a snake.
According to the foundation, agents were able to estimate on the spot that it was not a poisonous snake. One of the officers managed to catch the animal with a paint roller stick and then put it in a box.
The snake was collected by the Zeeland foundation. It is probably a corn or rat snake. The animal probably escaped. The foundation is looking for the owner of the snake.
