Zeeleeuw chases football players from the field twice | Abroad

The intruder forced the football players to continue the match on an adjacent field, but shortly after the resumption the sea lion ‘moved’ along and it was again impossible to play football.

Several spectators managed to chase the sea lion off the field with sticks, report local media. The animal then had to be kept at a distance for the entire second half of the game. In the end the sea lion chose eggs for his money and backed off to the sea.

Father Bradley stood along the line watching his daughter’s performance. “We have never seen this here before. Fortunately, everyone handled it wisely. The sea lion can’t help it that this football field is so close to the beach.”

Seal

The people of Dunedin often see animals from the sea moving into the village. Recently, for example, there was a seal on the busy boulevard. The authorities warn to keep at least twenty meters away from sea lions and seals. If they feel threatened, they can become aggressive.
