Zeeland will gradually allow more tourists Inland

Since May 1, a limited occupation of the sleeping places is possible again. On May 15, 50 percent of the number of tourist sleeping accommodations may be rented at private rental, hotels, guest houses and bed & breakfasts.

A further relaxation will follow on 29 May. If the situation does not deteriorate, the number of sleeping places can be increased to 75 percent. The Safety Region notes that visitors and residents must continue to follow the RIVM measures.

It was quiet last weekend in Zeeland after the first relaxation, so that a number of tourists are welcome again. That said Arjen Brinkman, chairman of the Zeeland department of Hiswa-Recron. “It is still quite quiet, it has not been known for that long. But we are happy with it. We have a first start. I expect it will get busier again with Ascension (May 21), ”says Brinkman.
