In Burgh-Haamstede a tree blew over, leaving a part of Renesse without electricity. The tree took a power cable with it in the trap. The problems were resolved after more than an hour, reports network operator Enduris.
The Haamstede lighthouse was damaged by the wind. According to local residents, there was a mess of construction work on the tower in the wider area.
On the Western Scheldt near Terneuzen, a ship got into trouble due to strong winds. Tugboats succeeded in bringing the ship to safety.
