The most beloved musical duo in our country – Riton – have become farmers. Katya and Zdravko have bought a small tractor to cultivate the huge garden in their house in Bankya. The singers became passionate about agricultural activities years ago, and the initiative came from Zdravko. Now he is working on the new crop of tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and all kinds of summer vegetables.
The male half of the beloved duet says that he recalcifies by doing “agrarian fitness”, while Katya takes a sauna, for example, writes “Retro”.
“He rests by digging, mowing the lawn and tinkering around the house. He is a great technician,” she praises him. For this purpose, he gathers all kinds of tools stored and carefully arranged in a special room. His lawnmowers alone were three sizes, not counting the trimmers. The brush cutters, wood cutters and pruning shears were over a dozen in variety and size. “Each mowing and trimming activity requires a different tool, although there are some that I use very rarely,” he admits, explaining that all this work gives him extra energy and pleasure. As a true master Zdravetsa, as his friends call him, has a weakness for any technique.
“I have a bunch of drills, sanders, a bench press, several types of screwdrivers, a circular saw, a power cultivator, complete painting equipment, even a professional compressor and asphalt cutter.” The last two machines have not been used, but it is important to have them available if the indefatigable singer needs them. “It happened to a man, and what a man!”, Katya cannot praise him: “For example, the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner broke and Zdravko immediately repaired it perfectly. But it didn’t satisfy him, so he ordered a new one. There’s nothing he can’t fix or do around the house – from assembling furniture, fixing all kinds of gadgets, and even doing repair work.”
As a true lady, Katya took on the lighter, creative and aristocratic work – garden design and floristry. It is responsible both for the overall layout and landscape of the yard, as well as for where and what plants to plant. For 15 years, the Riton duo have lived in one of the most beautiful and large houses in Bankya. In addition to dozens of rooms, a garden of paradise, a spa area, they also have an outdoor pool in the shape of a grand piano. According to real estate brokers, their home is currently worth about BGN 3 million.
