StarDance: Embracing Change and Evolution
In the history of StarDance, we have seen a total of eighteen personalities grace the judging panel. From Vlastimil Harapes to Michael Kocb to Jan Rvai, the changes in the composition of the jury are not uncommon. It has been confirmed that Jan Tomnek will be returning to the upcoming season, replacing Zdenk Chlopek. Lucie Kapounov, the creative producer of the show, expressed her gratitude towards Zdenk Chlopek for his twelve years of excellent service on the panel.
Jan Tomnek has previously participated in StarDance more frequently as a dancer rather than a judge. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of this amazing project once again and to be present at every StarDance competition night. I enjoyed being on the dance floor as well as in the judging panel. As a judge, I will be both professional and kind, offering advice to all participants on how to improve from round to round,” said Jan Tomnek, the returning judge for the upcoming season.
Zdenk Chlopek made his final appearance as a television judge on Sunday, March 24th, evaluating the performances of contestants in the Slovakian dance show Lets Dance, broadcasted on Markza and Voyo.
StarDance, the Czech version of the globally successful television dance competition Strictly Come Dancing, has been airing in the country since 2006. Last year, ten Saturday night episodes from October to December attracted an average of 1.7 million viewers, including children and adults.
