Zbigniew Ziobro criticizes EU plans on internal combustion cars

According to one of the program guidelines “Suitable for 55” voted by the European Parliament, it will only be possible to register new combustion cars in the EU until 2035. After this term. only electric cars will be available for purchase. Brussels is taking further steps in this matter.

The head of Solidarna Polska, Minister Zbigniew Ziobro, stresses that the idea is a “blind way”. “Electric cars are very expensive and often break down. The 2035 ban on combustion engines, which the OP enthusiastically supports, is a dead end EU bureaucrats have entered,” the politician wrote on Twitter.

The sale of internal combustion cars is prohibited

“The diesel and gasoline engine of the new cars will be available for another 13 years, and then the end. A ban on the sale of new combustion cars will go into effect. Only zero-emission vehicles, ie battery-powered electric cars (BEVs) or using hydrogen, they will be sold in showrooms for the production of electricity from fuel cells (FCEV), “auto.dziennik.pl announced Monday.

Hołowczyc on electric cars

The well-known rally driver was asked about electric cars by sports journalist Michał Pol in “Kanał Sportowych” on YouTube.

Hołowczyc assessed this as a “dead end” and pointed out a number of disadvantages of this type of car, including problems with their disposal, the inability to extinguish the fire or a limited range.

– I drove an electrician for a while. Indeed, there is a good feeling in the city – admitted Hołowczyc, explaining however that outside the town the situation is not the best. “The ranges, as soon as you really hit the gas, decrease twice in each of these cars,” said the driver.

– Nobody says how a car burns, what is happening. (…) You cannot put out such a thing, there is no possibility. Imagine that this car catches fire near a hotel or a department store – said the citizen of Olsztyn, explaining that the burning battery, the so-called electrician emits oxygen, constantly feeding the flames.

Another drawback mentioned by the rally driver – and not mentioned by the media and electrician enthusiasts – is the strong electromagnetic effect these cars emit. With prolonged contact, it can have a negative impact on the health of users. – Let’s say, don’t put your cell phone close to your ear for too long, because it hurts. (…) Imagine how many engines there are, how many flows there are, how much energy there is circulating around us – said Hołowczyc.

The professional driver mentioned another aspect that we won’t hear from proponents of electric cars. – In Norway there are already a large number of cars on the tracks, they have small bumps, no one is repairing them. Everyone is afraid – said Hołowczyc.
