Zaz can’t wait to settle down comfortably in the famous red armchair The Voice ! The 44-year-old singer was chosen by the production to coach the candidates of the fourteenth season of the singing competition alongside Patricia Kaas, Vianney and Florent Pagny. Excited to embark on this new adventure, Zaz immediately took to social media after the official announcement made by TF1 in the morning.
“I’m very happy,” says Zaz.
“Here is the first surprise of the new school year… and what a surprise! I still manage to surprise myself! So I decided to listen to my heart which told me ‘but yeah, go for it, it’s an experience!’. So it was with a certain excitement that I said ‘yes’!”, she first explained in a story shared on her Instagram account before sharing her desire to discover the talents of the show and spend time with the other coaches: “I can’t wait to share, learn, have fun, and I intend to give my all so that each person in my team is at the top of what they can do! The Voice is a family, thank you for welcoming me. I am very happy to see my friends Florent and Vianney again and happy to get to know Patricia better!”
The production of The Voice is therefore banking on change to create excitement around the competition, while remaining faithful to its fundamentals. The return of Florent Pagny, the show’s historic coach to whom the French are particularly attached, should delight long-time fans. The arrival of Zaz and Patricia Kaas should breathe a breath of fresh air into the set. For this fourteenth season, TF1 is also promising “new stages” and a new decor” to reinvigorate the show.
