Zayed University students are ambassadors for the “COP 28” conference

A group of Zayed University students launched the Sustainability Club.

Club members launched the “Road to Conference of the Parties 28” initiative, which was recently held on the campus of Zayed University in Dubai. Which aims to focus on accelerating climate action, finding practical solutions to reduce the repercussions of climate change, and affirming the UAE’s commitment to sustainable development.

The club was established after selecting a number of Zayed University students to participate in the “Cup 28” simulation model sponsored by the United Nations at the British University in Cairo.

The student, Alia Abdel Majeed Hussein Ahli, a second-year student at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies at Zayed University, was chosen as the club president, and under the supervision of Dr. And in the field of sustainability.

Student Alia Ahli said: “The UAE’s hosting of the 28th Conference of the Parties is one of the most prominent events of this year, and it is necessary for young people to participate in the 28th Cup.”

Speakers from Carbon Middle East gave a presentation during the club’s first event, addressing the topic of sustainable packaging.

Dr. Susanna Al-Masah added, “I am very pleased to see our students participating in the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) completing the process and following up and working on establishing the Sustainability Club at Zayed University.”
