On the occasion of the premiere of the new Pokemon Secrets of the Jungle movie on Netflix, Niantic has announced that Zarude, the Pokemon Monkey Pokemon, will make an appearance in Pokemon GO starting October 1.
From October 1-10, coaches will be able to meet not only Zarude, but other film-inspired content will also appear within the specified timeframe, including the return of Jesse and James.
Pokémon such as Hoothoot, Combee, Drilbur, Cottonee and Dwebble will appear more frequently, and the return of Scout Pikachu and Shiny Scout Pikachu is confirmed. Pikachu Scout, Larvitar, Roggenrola, Foongus, and Rufflet (also Shiny) will be available in tier one raids, while tier three raids will host Lickitung, Chansey, Pinsir, Ludicolo, and Flygon.
Jessie and James are also returning along with Meowth, available until October 15, and new free avatar items, such as Adventure Hat and Wailmer Bottle, are also making their debut.
