Acting Minister of Justice Krum Zarkov is considering approaching the Constitutional Court on several issues. One of them is the powers of the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev.
“What are the parameters of legality supervision?” Does this allow the prosecutor’s office to check absolutely every administration from the water supply to the size of the footpath, or does it have another, much more limited meaning related to criminal proceedings – this is a question that needs to be discussed,” Zarkov told bTV.
He added that his predecessors had shown that there was a procedure to hold the Attorney General accountable.
According to the Minister of Justice, an appropriate administration must be created so that the European delegated prosecutors from Bulgaria can work effectively and independently.
