Zarco Sentenced, MotoGP France 2022 Starting Position Changed

Le Mans

Starting position French MotoGP 2022 slightly changed. This is because of the penalty received by the rider Pramac Ducati Johann Zarco.

The incident involving Zarco happened when 2022 French MotoGP QualificationSaturday (14/5/2022) evening WIB, entering Q2.

Zarco is considered to have slowed down his motorbike at the end of Turn 4, thus disturbing the other riders who were trying to record time for qualifying.

The action was considered dangerous for Zarco and other riders. Therefore, the MotoGP stewards decided that Zarco had violated article 3.5.5 of the MotoGP rules published by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM).

As a result, Zarco also had to accept the punishment that made him have to start. Zaroc, who actually started from sixth position, had to go down three lines to ninth.
