The Zaragoza Convention Bureau, ZCB, has participated in numerous actions in recent weeks, which maintains the Aragonese destination as one of the leaders of the Spanish MICE.
On March 2, the manager of Zaragoza Tourism, Conrado Molina, participated in an open table organized by the Zaragoza Chamber in which, after reviewing his professional career, he discussed the latest SWOT analysis carried out by the Zaragoza City Council and in which business tourism stands out as one of the strengths of the destination.
Days ago, Zaragoza Congresos participated in the Virtual Lab of Grupo eventosplus. On this day, ZCB held meetings with several providers specialized in hybrid events with the aim of gathering all possible information for a future destination presentation with this format.
Zaragoza maintains and increases its sustainable commitment, a fact that has been evident since its Convention Bureau was the first to incorporate the Eventsot Key tool among its free services for organizers.
In this sense, ZCB organized a training session for its partners together with Alberto Gómez from Ephymera Sustainability with the aim of bringing this new tool to MICE professionals in the city.
Similarly, on March 15, the director of Zaragoza Congresses, Miguel Ángel Argente, participated in the Meeting on Good Management organized by the Zaragoza Chamber on sustainable events and organization of corporate events with sustainable criteria. The speaker at this meeting was Ana Gascón, director of Corporate Responsibility of Coca-Cola Iberia, and also counted on the collaboration of María Jesús Fuentes, commercial and marketing director at Palafox Hotels; Rut García, head of marketing, communication and CSR at Marcotran Group; Jaime Mendoza, CEO at Coferdroza; Jesús Morte, president of the Amusement Park Group; Enrique Torguet, director of communication, sponsorship and institutional relations at Grupo AGORA.
In addition, Zaragoza Congresos gave an international round table in virtual format attended by European MICE professionals from France, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Monaco and the United Kingdom.
The event began with a brief presentation of Zaragoza as a congress destination, followed by an emphasis on Zaragoza as a sustainable destination. In addition, the aforementioned Eventsost Key tool was released and its operation explained.
Later, during the round table, doubts were resolved about the destination’s transport connections, the current situation of the pandemic in Spain, or the possibility of customizing the airport, among others.
The event ended with a question and answer game by Zaragoza Servicios in which the two winning companies obtained a two-night stay in the city thanks to Ilunion Romareda and Grupo Palafox, with two tickets to the Zaragoza Aquarium.
In face-to-face format, Zaragoza Congresos attended the two editions of the Iberian MICE Forum that took place in Madrid on March 24 and 25.
On the day dedicated to the Convention Bureaux, Zaragoza was presented to all attendees with its new promotional material as one of the outstanding destinations of the event.
Both on this conference and on the one dedicated to national corporate buyers, ZCB held up to 45 personal meetings with the main professionals in the sector.
The training sessions of the event revolved around sustainability, where the Aragonese capital was mentioned as one of the leading cities in this field.
Zaragoza Congresos continues to work on its new product ZCB Corporativo, focused on companies from Zaragoza not directly linked to the events sector. With the collaboration of companies specialized in sustainability, ZCB is also currently studying options so that the compensation of the carbon footprint generated in the city’s events remains in the region.
