Matilde Zambudio and Ciudadanos have reached an agreement on the reinstatement of the current deputy mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to her political formation. The agreement states that Zambudio skipped the guidelines of her party when she did not vote for herself in the plenary session of the City Council.
Zambudio has repeatedly asserted that he did not violate his party’s orders because they never gave him a clear instruction. But the truth is that the agreement by which he signs peace with the orange formation expressly recognizes that the councilor disobeyed by voting for the socialist Patricia Hernández to become mayor, thus committing an infraction. In this document, Cs takes into consideration the fact that since the preview was held, the first deputy mayor chicharrera has not attacked the prestige of the Citizens-Citizenship Party political party. It should be remembered that in an interview on July 24, 2019, the mayor declared that Ciudadanos was dead in the Canary Islands.
The out-of-court agreement that Zambudio has reached with her party establishes that she agrees to present a letter of withdrawal from the process and Cs, for her part, to reaffirm her affiliation and notify the City Council, in addition to waiving the costs.
