Zamalek Club Elections: Farouk Gaafar Withdraws as Counting Begins

Farouk Gaafar, the candidate for the presidency of Zamalek Club in the elections, which were held today, Friday, to elect a new board of directors, left the electoral tent, after the start of the counting process to determine the winners of the elections.

The committee supervising the Zamalek Club elections consists of Counselor Abdullah Qandil as head of the committee, and the membership of: Counselor Mukhtar Muhammad Ali, Counselor Montaser Abdel-Al, Counselor Gharib Muhammad, Counselor Khairy Muhammad, Counselor Magdy Haider, and Counselor Ayman Al-Nahhal.

At nine in the morning on Friday, voting opened in the regular general assembly of the Zamalek Club to elect a new board of directors, and registration in the attendance and voting lists continues until seven in the evening today.

The General Assembly agenda includes the following items:

Approving the minutes of the previous board meeting, in addition to considering the Board of Directors’ report on its work in the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2023, and the activity programs and work plan for the fiscal year 2023-2024.

Consider the auditor’s report

Approval of the budget and final accounts for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2023, and the draft of the next budget.

And electing a new board of directors for the 2023-2027 session in accordance with the composition contained in the club’s bylaws in force.

Approving the appointment of the auditor and determining his remuneration, in addition to approving the Board of Directors’ report on the salaries and rewards of the CEO and the Financial Director.

Considering the proposals submitted by members of the General Assembly and other topics on the agenda.
