The Egyptian Zamalek Club announced today, Monday, the cancellation of Mortada Mansour’s membership, revealing the reason for this decision.
Zamalek published a statement on its official account on the “X” platform, which said: “The Board of Directors of the Zamalek Club, headed by Hussein Labib, decided to drop the membership of Mortada Mansour, due to his lack of conditions for gaining general membership in implementation of the provisions of Articles 8 and 12 of the club’s bylaws.”
According to the “Masrawy” website, the third clause of Article Eight of the Zamalek Club’s bylaws stipulates that the member shall not be deprived of exercising his civil rights, and no final rulings have previously been issued against him for a felony penalty, or a misdemeanor penalty for a crime against honor or trust. .
Last April, the Administrative Court in Egypt issued a ruling to remove Mortada Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Zamalek Club, from his position.
This ruling came less than a month after Mansour carried out a one-month prison sentence in the case of insulting and defaming Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of Al-Ahly Club, which prompted demands that he should be removed.
Last August, the Cairo Economic Court sentenced Mortada Mansour to six months in prison and fined him 20,000 pounds, after Khalifa was accused of insulting and assaulting a public employee while performing her work.
