“The album has a lot of different colors, including elements of classical music, elements of choral music, fusion musical elements, jazz, pop elements. When they ask me to describe the album with one word, I can’t,” the singer reveals about the album’s motives. Zakirova explains that the main and unifying idea of the album’s songs is confidence – start with yourself. The singer invites you to always start with yourself and see the small, pleasant things first , to then come from them to something big.
The producer of the album is drummer Andris Buiķis, and a special surprise for the listeners is the ballad in the Tatar language included in the album, the music for which was composed by the jazz pianist Madars Kalniņš, and the words were written in the Tatar language by the author from Tatarstan Gulfia Shakirova.

Commenting on the title of the album, which translates as “Golden hour” in Latvian, Zakirova explains that several songs in the album have references to youth. “I was playing with words, and then “Golden Hour” was born, it’s my favorite feeling, when you’re finally inside yourself and just enjoy its colors,” says the singer.
“Originally, this album was supposed to sound much more ‘ethnic’, but during the creative process the style of the album changed more and more and got a late 80’s – early 90’s sound, with a kind of funkjazz and cinematic symbiosis as well as a little fusion and a hint of disco music,” says Zakirova.

“The compositions composed by Andras Buiķa were quite different from my usual style, but it seemed interesting, because I had to try new vocal techniques and practice properly,” the singer reveals about the creation of the album. She says that sketches of compositions were first made in Dublin, which she then offered to the composer in Latvia.
Zakirova studied and lived in Ireland, Dublin, where she initially got into a show project. “I think I got a lot from that school [Newpark Academy of Music], because its approach is very specific and fundamental for them. There [Dublinā] my path as a composer also began, influenced by some places, because the nature there is interesting.
Artists and people in general need to be in nature more often, go and enjoy its freedom and air, its simple things,” says the singer.
