Zakharova to Mitsotakis: We have not terrorized Greece or anyone else – 2024-03-09 13:13:05

Today (7/3) the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, expressed Moscow’s annoyance at the statements of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In her post on Telegram, the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the statements of the Greek Prime Minister, after his visit to Odessa yesterday, during which there was also a Russian attack in the area, citing Mikis Theodorakis.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis: In this dark hour for Europe, we have shown our determination to support Ukraine with a united front, something our enemies may not have expected. You will not scare us, we will continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary”.

He also called Russia an enemy of Europe.

First, we have not terrorized Greece or anyone else and we are not terrorizing them. You won’t find a single example.

Second, Europe was different. The Third Reich was also Europe. For such a Nazi Europe, we will always be enemies.

Thirdly, in my Soviet/Russian school, in the usual music lesson for each of our students, I studied the works of Mikis Theodorakis. I knew both his music and his fate. And he was an enemy of Europe, of Nazi Europe.

Don’t betray, Kyriakos, the memory of the Greek Resistance!”, said Maria Zakharova.

The Mitsotakis attack against Moscow

Earlier today, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis unleashed heavy fire against Moscow, which he even accused that its attack in Odessa was aimed at terrorizing the Greek side.

“No one will intimidate us,” explained Mr. Mitsotakis. “I think we all have a message for the Kremlin: we will not be afraid, we will continue to support Ukraine and its brave citizens for as long as it takes. And we remain united on this issue,” he said.

“We showed our support to Ukraine in a way that was surprising to some of our enemies,” the prime minister continued. He also noted that Europe has never given such an answer, with the sanctions on Russia and with the support of Ukraine, militarily and financially.

“No violation of international law and attempt to change borders by force will not be accepted by our political family,” he added, in a message indirectly addressed to Ankara.

“We must ensure that nothing will be done in Europe without the active participation of the EPP, which is why it is important that our party be the dominant force in Europe,” Mr. Mitsotakis said.
