–The reason for the statement of the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the expulsion of 12 of its diplomats from Greece.
“Russia promises to respond to Greece,” she was quoted as saying by TASS.
Earlier today, authorities in Athens informed the Russian ambassador that Greece had decided to declare 12 Russian diplomats persona non grata. This decision was made after the announcement of the discovery of hundreds of bodies of civilians in the city of Bucha near Kyiv.
A number of European countries have decided to expel dozens of Russian diplomats. Some of them have been declared persona non grata on espionage charges.
