The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, spoke on her Telegram channel about NATO’s actions near the borders of Russia.

Zakharova noted that “the other day the US Embassy in Estonia announced a joint exercise of the Estonian Defense Forces and the US Army Special Operations Forces.”
The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that “the American diplomatic mission reported that” unconventional delivery methods “are being worked out during the maneuvers.
“I don’t even want to imagine what they are talking about. In the Pentagon’s war games, this country is nothing more than a NATO foothold on our borders, ”she said.
According to Zakharova, “these measures, aimed at developing interaction and” conjugation “of the armed forces, do not and cannot carry any other goals.”
“The very fact that the exercises took place a few days after the conclusion of the next military agreement between Tallinn and Washington on the mutual provision of troops with fuel only confirms NATO’s intention to artificially create tensions near Russia,” wrote she.
Earlier, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Alexander Grebyonkin in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta statedthat the growing activity of the NATO alliance increases the threat of armed conflicts on the Russian border.
