Speaking to the media, the source explained that the boats will be used in the towns of Soyo and Nóqui, where many citizens live on islands and other places on the banks of the Zaire River.
For cities within the province, Dora Luzolo said that military trucks will be used, especially in the communities of Serra da Kanda and Buela (Cuimba), Kindege and Kibala Norte (Nzeto). He said that the census takers, this Thursday, began to identify the census areas and the separate lists for each section.
He ensured that logistical issues were taken into account for the success of the process in the region, as well as the payment of subsidies to field agents. The Count will be held over 30 days and there will be 79 thousand 423 field agents divided into 67 thousand 131 and 12 thousand supervisors throughout the entire country.
The last census took place in May 2014 and counted 25 million, 789 thousand and 24 inhabitants in Angola. There are a total of 1,547 field agents in the Zaire region spread over 389 census areas and the same number of supervisors in the towns of Mbanza Kongo, Soyo, Cuimba, Tomboco, Nóqui and Nzeto.
