Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainuddin Amali reported to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) he chose to focus on managing PSSI. Amali has just served as vice chairman of PSSI. What does Amali mean by choosing to focus on managing PSSI?
Amali said Jokowi already knew he had been chosen as one of the 2 PSSI waketums. According to Amali, Jokowi left the matter of choice to him.
“Because I told my friends I had to choose and I told the President, ‘Sir, I will focus and concentrate on taking care of football to become a PSSI administrator’ and that was understood by him and he told me I was allowed to concentrate and focus on football. ,” said Amali at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, Monday (20/2/2023).
What is the meaning of choosing PSSI when he served as Menpora, Zainuddin Amali stated that his statement did not need to be further clarified. What is certain, said Amali, Jokowi has allowed himself to focus on PSSI.
“Don’t explain it at length anymore. Can you ask that again. So he has allowed me to focus and concentrate on taking care of football accompanying Pak Erick Thohir, Mrs. Ratu Tisha and exco friends,” said Amali.
“The point is, I have received permission from the President to concentrate and focus on taking care of football,” he added.
Asked whether it means he resigned from Menpora, Zainuddin Amali only repeated his statement that he would concentrate and focus on taking care of Indonesian football.
“No. I have already said that I will concentrate and focus on football and then the president will allow it. Go ahead. That’s it. Okay. That period must be translated at length again,” he said.
