In a related statement, Lieutenant General e.a. and a member of the SYRIZA Executive Committee notes that “lawsuits for defamation will follow, as well as lawsuits to recover the moral damage I have suffered from the slanderous reports and the insult to my personality.”

“I consider the non-existent false and slanderous rumors about me, regarding my alleged involvement in the attendance of the delegates to the SYRIZA-PS conference and my alleged intervention for their entry through a special door, to be unworthy and even to be refuted. Those who, under the security of their anonymity, spread these scenarios, while they are aware of the untruth of their content, are common slanderers.
Those who dared to spread them on social media, be aware that their details will soon be identified by the Cybercrime Prosecution and lawsuits for defamation will follow as well as lawsuits to recover the moral damage I have suffered from the defamatory reports and insult to my personality.
It goes without saying that the monetary amounts of the compensations will be allocated to AVGI and Kokkino. My undefeated term in EL.AS as well as my personal and party course do not allow me to leave unanswered the insults, which affect my honor and reputation, nor unpunish the slanderers, who will be judged by the Greek Justice.
