The final of the new season of the Ice Age show took place on Saturday. Figure skating fans have been waiting for this release not only because of the announcement of the names of the winners. For the first time we were shown the result of cooperation Ilya Averbukh and Olympic champion Alina Zagitova… We have already seen the process of creating a program, and now we can evaluate the final result.
First you need to turn to the song “Will I Make It Out Alive” by Tommee Profitt. A song about doubts, about hope that is lost in eternal questions and contrasting understandings.

Most of the song is built on interrogative sentences and intonations. As soon as hope and some specifics appear, it is immediately drowned out by these eternal questions.
They most often arise in the head when we are left alone with ourselves – fear and uncertainty begin to choke. And imagine when these thoughts are constantly in your head, and there is no one next to you. And you can’t get along with these thoughts, they interfere with work, bring down the mood.
I see here a story about these doubts, their causes and consequences. How do you get out alive?
The program starts out in a rather unusual way – right from the spin. Without an initial pose and step-by-step, just rotation. Alina spins in a small ray of light, as her life spins in the first adult season: a large number of starts, life rushes with great speed only inside a small area of light. And then Alina stops, takes a breath and begins to accelerate again with the help of her hands. Only now she remains in place, only her hands move and drive the wind.
And then she is pushed out of this comfortable circle onto the big ice. This is where thoughts and doubts appear. Alina found herself in the big world of sports, where, in addition to competitions, there are still a large number of attendant obstacles. Something it attracts, and something repels. She runs, goes as close to the ice as possible, tries to get back to where it all started. The first movements are aggressive, as if a little bit angry.
On an incredible swallow, she already calmly passes all this big ice. She touches the surface with her hand, not forgetting what brought her here. After that comes a galaxy of beautiful and powerful elements – ina bauer, slide. This large space ceases to scare her, it does not press, there are no doubts or questions.
In the finale, she returns to her circle again. She does not feel insecure after “returning”, she is comfortable here. She waves her arms again, but she does not need the whirlwind that was at the beginning of the path. Now she needs acceleration in order to open up to this light, which illuminated her entire rental.
Zagitova rolls a story familiar to herself, she has more than once got out of difficult situations, made volitional decisions. Now she can tell it on the ice with her skill. And her figure skating voice is heard louder and louder.
