The Sector for Community Service and Environmental Development at Zagazig University, under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Al Darandli, President of the University, and Dr. Jihan Yousry, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, organized a series of awareness seminars on “Women’s Reproductive Health” for students of the university’s faculties, in the light of directives Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research By implementing the activities of the joint initiative to spread education and community awareness of reproductive health and family planning in governmental, private and private universities.
Dr. Jihan Yousry emphasized the university’s keenness to participate in all community awareness initiatives and campaigns, which contributes to supporting the efforts of the Egyptian state through the solidarity of all parties, stressing the importance of building community awareness in general and university in particular about the issue of reproductive health and family planning among the state’s priorities to reduce population growth rates. Creating a successful family.
The Vice President of the University indicated that the seminars program is organized as part of the activities and events of the community service and environmental development sector. Dr. Osama Abdel Bary, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Wael Salama, Director General of the College, and a group of department heads, faculty members and students at the college.
Dr. Noura Ghoneim talked about the concept of reproductive health, the danger of female circumcision and underage marriage and its negative effects on women and society, in addition to the importance of premarital examinations. She also pointed out the importance of family planning, which is one of the basic means to curb unsustainable population growth and its consequences. It has negative effects on the economy, the environment, and the development efforts being made at the national and regional levels. It also enables family planning to determine the number of children they want to have and the spacing between pregnancies and pregnancies. It can be achieved by using contraceptive methods and infertility treatment.
