Žagars pointed out that the said person had not been in contact with other staff, however, in order to reduce the risks, the theater has asked possible contact persons to observe self-isolation. The director of Daile Theater noted that it has been possible to accurately identify those employees who could theoretically have come into contact with a person who has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
The director of the Daile Theater drew attention to the fact that “micro bubbles” have been formed since the resumption of operations, following the recommendations of the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC). The theater departments were separated from each other, for example, the visit to the café for each particular department was at a different time to avoid human encounters. Žagars said that the artistic staff as well as the administration work separately, and the employees of the technical workshops are also separated.
Žagars confirmed that for security purposes, all staff will perform Covid-19 tests today, noting that this could be a routine for many teams in the future, ie from time to time all employees will have to perform the Covid-19 test.
It has already been reported that last day the largest number of Covid-19 cases was registered in Latvia so far – a total of 137 new cases, according to the data compiled by the SPKC.
The highest number of new Covid-19 cases registered in a single day was 109-7 on October 7, when it exceeded one hundred for the first time.
4551 Covid-19 tests were performed last day, but the proportion of positive tests has reached 3%. The SPCC has previously stated that this figure is considered important in the European Union, as above 3%, the spread of the disease is considered to be rapid and uncontrolled.
To date, a total of 353,788 Covid-19 examinations have been performed in Latvia, 2,507 persons have become ill, and 1,322 have recovered.
