He had to follow quite strict rules when watching movies. It is probably not surprising that he was not allowed to leave his seat in the hall during the screening, but he was also not allowed to bring any food or drinks with him, which may seem cruel by the standards of American cinema culture.
Zach said he managed to watch up to three movies on weekdays, usually more on weekends. But in the end, it didn’t cost him much, because he financed his visits to the cinema with monthly passes for $22. In total, he invested just over six thousand crowns in conversion into the record entry.
The goal of Zach’s efforts was not only the record itself, but also to raise awareness of mental health issues. The company Regal Cinemas, in whose cinema Zach Swope watched all the films, evaluated his success with the amount of 7777.77 dollars, which it sent to the account of the American Federation for Suicide Prevention.
