Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz will miss the remainder of the season with torn medial and anterior cruciate ligaments suffered last month.
The player concerned confirmed everything Thursday to the media, specifying that he had been operated on. Rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament was also discovered during the surgery. He hopes to be recovered in time for the start of next season.
Ertz went down in action after making a 12-yard catch during a game against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10 of the regular season. He had 406 yards and four touchdowns on 47 receptions this year.
As for the Cardinals, they are tied for third in the NFL’s National Conference West Division with four wins in 12 games.
