As reported by Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN, Zach Collins has agreed to a three-year, $ 22 million deal to join the San Antonio Spurs. The Blazers hadn’t extended a qualifying $ 7 million offer to Collins this offseason, so he had become an unrestricted free agent to decide his future.
The Spurs bet is still striking. Throughout his four-year career, Collins has dealt with injury after injury. As a result of the last one, the player underwent a second surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot.
Inside the Orlando bubble last summer, a sore ankle ended his season; where he came from averaging 7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in 26.4 minutes. In total, in his career, Collins has averaged 5.7 points and 4.9 rebounds with 44.4 percent shooting from the field in 154 games.
