According to information provided by El Sol de Zacatecas, the armed men they threw tire irons in order to prevent the policemen who started chasing them from reaching themmanaging to escape with the hostages.

This occurred less than 12 hours after armed attacks were recorded almost simultaneously in an hour in the Zacatecas-Guadalupe Metropolitan Area, leaving four people dead.
