Record beaten, and how! For its sixth edition, the Z Event, which mobilized streamers, specialists in broadcasting live video games online, raised more than 10,060,000 million euros for Action Against Hunger this weekend.

The project, which saw the light of day in 2016 under the impetus of Adrien Nougaret (whose nickname is ZeratoR on Twitch) and Alexandre Dachary (Dach), brought together players for several dozen hours in Montpellier (Hérault) so that ‘they play simultaneously on their channels. Their spectators were encouraged to donate to the association through them.
These more than 10 million euros exceed the record of 5.7 million euros reached in October 2020, for the benefit of Amnesty International. Year after year, the profits for associations have continued to increase, according to the site of the event.
For its first edition in 2016, the Z Event raised 170,000 euros for Save The Children, and 500,000 euros the following year for the Red Cross. Then 1,094,731 euros for Médecins sans frontières in 2018, and 3,509,878 euros for the Institut Pasteur, in 2019.
