Family, friends and colleagues will say their last goodbyes to the legendary singer Yvonne Přenosilová on Thursday afternoon. After the ceremony, she will be buried in the prominent first row of graves at the New Jewish Cemetery in Prague 3. TN Live will offer live streaming.
Pallbearers will say their last goodbyes at the New Jewish Cemetery at 2 p.m. Even her fans can come to say goodbye to the legend of the 60s.
The only son of the singer Maximilian von Schuckmann, whom she had with her German ex-husband, should not be missing among the mourners. “Hopefully he will come, he should. But he can’t arrange anything, because he doesn’t know Czech at all,” said TN.cz’s friend Hana Vejvodová. He should give a speech in Hebrew.
Chief regional rabbi Karol Sidon will lead the ceremony. Then they put Přenosilová in the first row of graves. So he will be in eternal rest with the most prominent names. Franz Kafka, Arnošt Lustig or Ota Pavel are buried there.
The bereaved did not choose the cemetery at random. Přenosilová was born in Libni, but spent a significant part of her life in Žižkov.
Přenosilová is considered a pioneer of Czech rhythm and blues and rock and roll. Among her biggest hits are compositions such as I like Bob, Boty proti lásce or So empty.
