The situation of students is very often put forward today.
Due to the pandemic, these funds find themselves in an unprecedented situation potentially generating or amplifying problems as well materials what psychological.
“Support these young people and try to guide them”
One of the peculiarities of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) being the importance of its student community, the City wanted to reach out to it in an attempt to help it overcome this pitfall.
It has thus worked to create a network of all the players in the territory “to support these young people and try to guide them as best they can in the search for solutions and support”.
Free consultation
After referral from Local health council by the mayor Arnaud Pericard on this issue, Sylvie Habert-Dupuis, the first assistant education and youth, set up the system Listen young.
This allows students to obtain a consultation free and confidential with the Dr Sylvie Anscombre.

“Dr Sylvie Anscombre could usefully listen to them and guide them according to their concerns. Our wish is to support young people towards State and Regional platforms, but also to focus our attention on all psychological problems, employment, food, housing and the choice of courses they may be faced. ”
Every Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Espace Vera
Consultations with the doctor will take place every Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.Paul-et-André-Vera space.
In addition to this unit set up by Saint-Germain-en-Laye, other devices are also available to students.
Faced with the increase in the care needs of this specific population, the FondaMental Foundation launched a free and anonymous platform, with the support of the Île-de-France Region, dedicated to “supporting and listening to students from the Paris region”: http://ecouteetudiants-iledefrance.fr

“Écoute Étudiants Île-de-France offers to take stock of one’s current psychological situation and to benefit from one to three teleconsultations supported by the Île-de-France Region, with psychologists specializing in post-traumatic stress. Each student can find, in response to their condition, three very concrete levels of help: information, testimonials and concrete advice, practical exercises to do at home, with texts, videos, audios, resources ( addresses, sites, specialized services…) to go further. “
Youth Health Thread
Finally, 12-25 year olds can also turn to the toll free number Youth Health Thread. Financed by Public health France and the Directorate-General for Social Cohesion, it is a remote health assistance system offering “many articles in the form of news, topic of the week or files”.
Fil Santé Jeunes offers an anonymous and free service provided by psychologists and doctors every day from 9 am to 11 pm.
