The money of the Saint-Germanois will be used to allow the construction of a stone portal, wrought iron gates as well as the repair of the well.
The City of Saint-Germain-en-Laye has decided to support the vast restoration project of the Pavillon de la Muette located in the forest.
During the last municipal council, elected officials ratified a subsidy and cultural partnership agreement for the promotion of the site.
Stone gate, wrought iron gates and a well
This agreement therefore has two components. One includes the allocation of a € 100,000 grant to the Société Muette Mécénat Culturel, owner of the premises, to renovate specific elements of the site.
Thus, the money of the Saint-Germanois will be used to allow the construction of a stone portal, wrought iron gates as well as the repair of the well.
“This well is the only element that remains of the 1st castle which was built on this site and which dates from François 1st. This is not the first time that the City has subsidized a private actor in the context of heritage enhancement. We have already done this in particular for the exterior wall, at the top of avenue de Loges, of the Protestant temple. “
The City will be able to organize concerts, exhibitions, etc.
The second part of this convention includes a cultural partnership.
The owner company undertakes by signing the latter to authorize the municipality “to promote the royal pavilion by organizing cultural programs and projects of mediation and heritage enhancement on the site”.
These cultural projects will be developed in consultation with the services of the municipality and its referent partners.
Concerts, exhibitions, workshops for schoolchildren could thus be organized by the City there.
