Everything is good to support and strengthen the vaccination against Covid-19.
AT Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), one of the 2 electric shuttles in service on the territory of the municipality is diverted, from May 5, to serve the intercommunal vaccination center installed in the gymnasium Philippe-Pivert of international high school since April 12.
One rotation every 10 minutes
“It will rotate every 10 minutes and will be located at the N2 car park at the Pierre-Delanoë space, in Fourqueux,” indicates the City. Appropriate markings will be put in place in order to easily find this additional car park. “
Monday to Friday by eligible people
It can be borrowed free of charge by people eligible for the vaccine from Monday to Friday.
This decision to change the original route was taken jointly by the City, the Saint-Germain agglomeration community loops of the Seine (Casgbs) and Île-de-France Mobility which finance these shuttles.
The installation of this shuttle between the Pierre-Delanoë space, where the vaccination center was installed before it moved to the Philippe-Pivert gymnasium, should thus make it possible to “facilitate all the flows in the vicinity” of the latter.
Dissatisfaction of some parents of students
Some voices were recently raised on the side of parents of students of the school to complain about the important traffic generated in the sector of the school establishment by the opening of the site with a capacity of 5,000 doses. per week.
As for the second shuttle in service in the town, it continues to rotate through the city center but with a doubling of the waiting time.
Passage every 40 minutes instead of 20
Instead of 3 passages per hour, it will now be necessary to count on one passage every 40 minutes.
Remember that since its entry into service on October 13, this electric shuttle system offers a 6 km loop circuit from the Grande-Ceinture station to the administrative center, the RER A, passing through the Place de la Victoire. This experimentation should continue until July 2021.
