The construction project of Big pool in the National domain of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) has found an additional funder.
The Department has thus decided to allocate 2.2 million euros for this operation, the estimated cost including tax was estimated at nearly 4,622,000 €.
Yvelines + development contract
This financing, being the subject of a specific agreement between thestate, Ministry of Culture and the Department of Yvelines, is done under the development contract called Yvelines +.
Concluded between the Departmental Council and the City, it provides overall support of € 3,100,000 for three projects: the renovation of the birthplace of Debussy, the requalification of the Royal Entrance and this Grand Bassin.
Largest basin in Île-de-France,
Remember that the idea, carried by the City, is to build a basin at the end of the Grand Parterre.
The latter would be the largest basin in Île-de-France with a diameter of 50 m and a water jet in its center with a height of up to 20 m.
Imagined by Ours and initiated under Louis XIV, its creation would have, according to the City, been interrupted with the departure of the Court in Versailles and 1682.
On the financing side, the project has already registered several commitments. Thus, the Suez company announced a participation of € 300,000 and the State decided to allocate € 500,000.
A public subscription with the Heritage Foundation
At the same time and knowing that it is up to it to make ends meet, the City has joined forces with the Heritage Foundation to launch a public subscription aiming to finance this Great Basin.
The sums paid by individuals or companies via this subscription open the door to the tax regime linked to donations, allowing a 66% tax credit for individuals and 60% for legal entities, capped at € 2,000,000.
The maintenance and operation of this Large Basin, which the City hopes to receive by March 2022, will be provided by the State.
