The summer organ festival continues in the church of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. At the initiative of Hubert Haye, titular organist of the great organs of the Saint-Germain church, every Saturday at 5 p.m., the public can come to attend an organ concert in the church of Saint-Germain-en- Laye. Participation is free and serves to contribute to the financing of the restoration of the Saint-Germanois organ.
From Russia to Switzerland
This Saturday, July 24 at 5 p.m., spectators will have the chance to attend an organ and cello duet with Ilya Völlmy Kudryavtsev et Annina Völlmy.
Ilja Völlmy Kudrjavtsev was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He graduated from the conservatory of the same town as an organist and pianist since 2006. After his studies in Russia, he went to London, to the Royal Academy of Music, where he followed the teachings of David Titterington (interpretation) and Lionel Rogg (improvisation).
In 2009, Ilja Kudrjavtsev moved to Switzerland to become the titular organist of St. Martin’s Church in Liestal. Since then, he has presented numerous recitals in Switzerland, France, Germany, Russia and the United Kingdom.
His repertoire includes music from all eras, however, he has a special interest in organ music from the 19th and 20th centuries.
