L’former member of the opposition of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines), Agnes Cerighelli, must appear this monday 1is mars 2021, in front of Paris Criminal Court.
The procedure was initiated against her by the photographer Olivier Ciappa, supported by several LGBTQ + associations, Mousse and Stop homophobia.
Information given by our colleagues from Figaro specifies that Agnès Cerighelli must answer for public defamation because of sexual orientation via Twitter. But also an attempt to blackmail, by private messaging, to decide Olivier Ciappa to give up his lawsuit.
Sentenced four days earlier
4 days ago, Agnès Cerighelli was judged by the 17e correctional chamber of Paris in another case. This Thursday, February 25, 2021, the judges found him guilty on the counts of public insult and defamation. In the ranks of the civil party was Marlène Schiappa, the current Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior, in charge of Citizenship.
Again, it was on Twitter that Agnès Cerighelli operated, calling Marlène Schiappa “the author of pornographic books” and judging that the Schiappa law “legalized pedophilia by refusing to enter a specific age of sexual consent.” »
She was fined 500 euros and will have to pay 2,000 euros in damages.
It is not known whether she appealed against this decision; procedure that would allow him to return to the presumption of innocence.
Multiple trials
In recent months, Agnès Cerighelli has been tried and condemned several times for the nature of her comments aimed at homosexual communities or of a racist nature, mainly on Twitter. This was the case on February 17th.
In September 2020, she also attacked the mayor of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Arnaud Péricard. Also condemned.
Not to mention the 2-month suspended prison sentence and five years of ineligibility when it targeted Rachida Dati and Samia Ghali just before the start of the 2020 municipal campaign.
