BS Nippon Co., Ltd. (channel name: BS Nippon TV) has decided to broadcast for the first time on TV “Yuzuru Hanyu notte stellata 2024,” which will be held in Yuzuru Hanyu’s hometown Miyagi until the 10th of this month. Yuzuru Hanyu skates with hope for hope at the Sekisui Heim Super Arena (Grandy 21) in Miyagi, 13 years after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
This show will be the second installment of “Yuzuru Hanyu notte stellata,” which was first held in March 2023 and will be chaired by Hanyu himself. “Notte stellata” is the program that Yuzuru Hanyu skated at the PyeongChang Olympics exhibition, and means “sky full of stars” in Italian. It was named after Hanyu, who was affected by the earthquake in his hometown of Sendai, and felt a sense of hope when he saw a beautiful “sky full of stars” in the darkness of a power outage. This show also has the theme of “hope” and aims to bring smiles to the audience. Please also enjoy the collaboration with special guest Mao Daichi.
