A YouTuber named Yung Jamie posted a video showing how he makes a nightly visit to the Bellewaerde amusement and animal park in Ypres. The young man even climbs the 32 meter high Boomerang and shines his flashlight into the eyes of a tiger. “Very stupid and completely irresponsible,” responds Bellewaerde, which has since filed a complaint with the police.
Yung Jamie posted the images on his YouTube channel two weeks ago. In the video you see the man, dressed in a dark jacket and with a hat on his head, climbing over the fence to enter the amusement park. He then walks leisurely along the Eldorado attraction and even climbs the 32-meter high Boomerang, which he wrongly calls the park’s highest attraction. “I won’t go all the way to the top, though, because it’s fucking high,” we hear him say.
Flamingo’s
The images show that the man entered the park during the Christmas period, because there are Christmas lights everywhere and there are still Christmas trees. The YouTuber takes a look at the rocking ship and various animal enclosures. He shines his flashlight on a giraffe, flamingos, a tiger and monkeys, among others. We also see the intruder getting a drink from a vending machine and at the end of the video the man even lights a mini barbecue, on which he prepares some chicken drumsticks.

“I entered a Belgian amusement park at night, where I did stupid things,” the YouTuber writes with the video he posted. “Your security is useless, but we love you anyway.” In addition to the YouTuber – who clearly did not film himself – there was a second person with him during his nightly visit.
Dangerous
At Bellewaerde they can’t exactly laugh at the stunt. “Totally irresponsible and even downright dangerous,” says Flip Van Dorpe, spokesperson for the amusement park. “We didn’t know anyone had broken in until we saw that video. After viewing the images, we immediately filed a complaint with the police. Although the man did not cause any damage, this was still a matter of burglary and arson. He scares animals with his flashlight, those animals are not used to that. You simply don’t do that.” The police of the Arro Ypres zone confirm that an investigation into the YouTuber is underway, but cannot say anything about it at the moment. It is striking that the man in the video makes no effort to hide his face.

By the way, Yung Jamie is not having much success. The man’s channel has 44 subscribers and the video has now been viewed 1,058 times. 7 people react to Yung Jamie’s stunt. One of them notes that the intruder will not immediately be able to cover the costs of the fine that awaits him with the views he receives. Someone else challenges the man to try Plopsa, Bobbejaanland or Walibi. “Plopsa Coo must also be fun at night.” Yung Jamie is not the first YouTuber to pull off such a stunt—boudewijn Seapark, Walibi and Antwerp Zoo have also received this kind of questionable visit.
