Activision Blizzard president, new CEO of Otherside
📍Daniel Alegre leaves his position at Activision Blizzard to devote himself to the development of the Otherside metaverse of Yuga Labs. The company responsible for the Bored Ape and Mutant Ape crypto collections and the Otherside metaverse, has hired the former CEO of Activision Blizzard, the video game and console company acquired by Microsoft, to lead the development of its immersive virtual world Otherside.
Alegre will serve as president and COO of Activision Blizzard until March 31, when his current contract with the game developer expires. However, Alegre has already secured a position at one of the leading Web3 developers, Yuga Labs.
Wylie Aronow, one of the co-founders of the cryptocurrency firm, said Alegre will bring his invaluable experience in entertainment, e-commerce and managing global strategic partnerships to further the development of its gamified metaverse.
According to Aronow, Alegre will use Bored Ape #3850 as his profile picture and take over as the new CEO of Otherside in mid-2023.

Similarly, Santiment noted that earlier this month, Ethereum whales bought an estimated $561 million worth of ETH, the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum network.
Santiment analysts pointed to it the whales began to pile up and that, so far this month, 159 new whale addresses have been created in the cryptocurrency industry, representing accelerated growth for these types of addresses over the past 10 months.
