Yuengling, the oldest brewery in the United States, has announced its expansion into the state of Texas. Last fall, the company made public its intention to bring its beers to the west of the country, thanks to Molson Coors.
Yuengling Announces Texas Expansion
The company comprised of Molson Coors Beverage Company and DG Yuengling & Son Inc. They will oversee the production of the beers, including their classic lager. The beers will be made at the Molson Coors factory in Fort Worth and will be available in the fall of this year.
“Texas has a large distribution network. And it will become the state with the largest volume of beer production in the United States. Therefore, having the opportunity to sell our Yuengling here is very exciting », he assured Pat Pikunas, General Manager of The Yuengling Company.
On the way to the Wild West
Pat Pikunas, who was previously vice president of strategic planning for the company, and Sales Manager for Miller Brewing Company stated: “Basically, we are creating a new company”. And this entails hiring a new team, looking for a network of distributors, testing production processes that guarantee quality and seeing the viability of the sale of beers.
“Before we move forward with our expansion plan, we must focus on launching our business in Texas. Be that as it may, we know that we are going to make many Yuengling fans happy »
The new partnership between D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. and Molson Coors Beverage Company, if circumstances permit, will begin to consolidate in the second half of 2021, and will be made up of a board of directors made up of members of both companies. But despite this agreement, we must emphasize that DG Yuengling & Son, Inc. will continue to be a family business, and the existing company will continue to operate separately from this new partnership with Molson Coors.
