CITIC Brothers Yue Zhenghua had 4 hits in a single game today (10th), including a home run and a triple. Unfortunately, he was only short of a two-run hit. He still fell short in his second complete hit challenge this season. Veteran Zheng Kaiwen returned to the first team after 40 days. He received 8 points of fire support from his teammates in the first 4 games. He threw 100 balls and lost 1 point in 7 games. CITIC defeated Fubon 9-4, ending the 5-game losing streak and holding on to the second half of the season. 3rd Place.
Yue Zhenghua hit a triple and a home run in the first two at-bats on May 17, but he did not hit a double until the fifth at-bat in the 9th inning. In the end, he missed his first complete hit by only one run. Today, he hit the first hit in the 2nd inning. His 9th hit this season continued to hit a career high. In the 4th inning, he hit a triple, starting a 4-run offensive in a single inning. In the 7th inning, he hit a single in the 4th batter. In the 9th inning, a fly ball to right field landed. Kevin Cheng allowed 8 runs in 2.2 innings against Fubon on August 31, and then the second team adjusted. Today, he only allowed 4 hits. The only run he allowed was in the 3rd inning. He was hit by Zhou Jiale first, and then by Li Zongxian. Hit a double. Zheng Kaiwen won his 5th win of the season, ending his 3-game losing streak, and was selected as the single-game MVP.
Two Asian Games national players from Fubon returned to the team today and came on as substitutes in the latter part of the game. Shen Haowei scored a hit in the 6th inning, getting out of the 15-hit Asian Games low, and hit his 2nd hit in a single game in the 8th inning. Dai Peifeng came on the court to catch in the 8th inning, and scored four bad hits in the 9th inning.
CITIC closer Lu Yanqing got on the board early in the 8th inning, and was hit by Shen Haowei and Li Zongxian first. After 2 outs, Fan Guochen hit a 3-pointer. Fan Guochen had 16 hits, 8 hits, 3 home runs, and 5 hits against Lu Yanqing in his career.
