Yssingeaux. The playground of the future intergenerational park is taking shape

Four employees of the company CAPS (Création amenagement poses et sols) in Polignac, near Puy-en-Velay, have started installing nine modular games from the manufacturer of playgrounds for local authorities Kompan.

They will be made available to young children aged 2 to 12 in the future intergenerational park, located rue des Alliés, in the heart of the Cité des cinq coqs.

The company, which began work on Monday March 14 for a period of fifteen days, is installing four games for children under 6 and five for older children. “The preparation of the ground is adapted for each structure, the spring games will be placed on a flexible ground made up of rubber rubber”, explains one of the site managers. “The three towers will rest on draining and cushioning ground, the six swings on synthetic turf with a cushioning underlay, as well as a tunnel on soft ground. A new musical game with drums and xylophone, as well as two tunnels of different sizes, will complete this large play area”.

Work estimated at 468,000 euros

The park intended for a public of all ages, from the youngest to the elderly, will also be equipped with an esplanade, boules games, benches for resting as well as shaded areas. A space for bicycles and scooters is provided for teenagers, as well as toilets and a fountain for cooling off.

Access to this new outdoor park will be on rue des Alliés and from the Antreuil car park, which will allow the public to park their vehicles in peace.

The acquisition cost of this 2,000 m² park was 175,000 euros and the works were estimated by the municipality at a total amount of 468,000 euros.
