After eight weeks of great emotions and moving stories of ordinary people, another edition of You’ve Got Mail, the 27th in the history of the broadcast hosted by Maria De Filippi. Special guest on Saturday 16 March is Furkat Palalistar of the very popular soap opera Bitter Earthwhich has also now come to an end.
Roberta’s story in the last episode of You’ve Got Mail
Roberta is a strong and determined young woman, who grew up together with her mother Antonella after the premature death of her father, who died at just 45 years old. Roberta’s, the emotional girl told Maria De Filippi, was a happy, albeit humble, childhood. The family was forced to live for many years in a battered basement on the outskirts of Rome.
“My mother always worked a lot, she did cleaning and overtime. She came home and was tired. Her wrists always hurt. She always tried to hide any trace of tiredness and suffering. I noticed that her hands were always swollen. She has always been there for me and my sister as if she had never gone to work. My mother taught me everything, honesty, love and to enjoy the little things.”
“I’m here to say thank you. – Roberta explained to the audience You’ve Got Mail – Thank you even though when I got married I had to buy my wedding dress in installments. If I could I would give her the world because she gave it to me”. Sincere and affectionate words that moved those present and viewers.
And the emotion grew even more after Antonella’s arrival in the studio who, through the screen of the famous letter, heard her beloved daughter say: “You are my favorite friend of all because you are beautiful, you are alone and you are home. Don’t ever feel like a burden to me mom, you’re crazy”. And precisely to thank her for the sacrifices, support and all the love she received from her, Roberta decided to pay homage to her mother with a gift in the flesh.
Furkat Palali’s surprise Bitter earth
Hidden behind the scenes, listening to the story of Roberta and Antonella was Furkan Palali, actor and face of Fikret, one of the most followed characters of the popular Turkish soap opera Bitter earth. Palali had tears in his eyes as he looked at Antonella’s emotion and he couldn’t hold back his tears when the time came to hug the woman.
The actor brought an award to this special mother: “For an actor the most important award is the Oscar, but this evening the heroine is you. You deserve the best mom award of all”. And in doing so, he handed over a statuette to Antonella.
But the surprises didn’t end, hidden inside the golden statuette there was something more: “A surprise is hidden in this gift because the best mother doesn’t deserve a simple object. There’s a little something down here, a little surprise” explained the actor. It was not shown to the public, but from Antonella’s comments, one can imagine that it is an economic support, to spend to pamper yourself a littleafter a life spent giving everything to their daughters.
