Bee ‘barnfinds’ in many cases it concerns neglected cars that are collecting dust. In many cases, they can still be saved, since the word barn ‘shed’ means and this implies that the cars are dry. In Youtuber Jonny Smith’s video, however, the cars in question are less well-preserved, having been left to the elements and in some cases losing battle with advancing undergrowth.

One of the cars that comes out from under a hedge turns out to be a classic 1960s Porsche 912 with five gears. We also see a rare Porsche 924 Turbo, a Lancia Delta 1.3, a Fiat 124 Spider and various Mazda MX-5s, BMWs and Mercedes-Benz models. Unfortunately, some cars were damaged, such as a BMW E30 318is, which suffered fire damage.

The cars have fallen into disrepair in this state after the owner was hit by a spate of deaths within his family. He also lost his wife after five years of marriage. Despite his inability to protect his collection, he talks enthusiastically about the cars. The good news is that they will be up for sale soon. Hopefully they will be bought by people who will store them indoors – whether or not after a restoration.
