Youtuber Testing Games compared the performance of the most modern Intel Core i9-13900K processor with the line veteran – Intel Core i3-13100F. Given the fivefold difference in price, the “old man” was a pleasant surprise.
Tested in Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us Part I, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, Forza Horizon 5, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, PUBG, Hogwarts Legacy and Hitman 3 at 1080p. The YouTuber also used a GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card with 24 GB of memory.
Depending on the running game, the Intel Core i3 gave a comfortable 50-240 FPS, and for the more powerful Intel Core i9, this figure ranged from 76 to 335 FPS. This suggests that “i3” is still a good budget processor for modern games.
Here’s what viewers think about processors:
The big problem with the i3 13100F is that it doesn’t have enough cores to handle multiple tasks. For example, it is not suitable for streamers.
From the video you can see that the video card is much more important than the processor.
I think it’s worth testing with a weaker video card.
Pay 5 times more and get 2 times more FPS!
Earlier, the YouTuber compared the RTX 4060 Ti and RX 6750 XT graphics cards in 10 games.
