YouTuber Mexify is known for his otherwise carefree nature. But now he has to gather all his strength when he reports about his mother’s death.
Cologne – Things have been quiet on the Mexify (real name: Maximillian) YouTube channel for a few months now. His fans have already noticed that something is wrong, but very few expected such a serious blow of fate. In a message to his viewers, Mexify explains that his mother died and how he and his family are now dealing with it.

What happened? On August 25th – during Gamescom 2023 in Cologne – Mexify received the first call. His father reported that his mother had to go to the hospital after she swallowed a grape. „You can’t do anything anymore“, reports the YouTuber, who is fighting back tears. The fact that such a severe blow can happen from one second to the next affects not only him, but the entire family. His 18-year-old sister and his father are particularly suffering from the loss. “I tried to be strong“, especially for his relatives, says Mexify – but the pain is incredibly deep for him too.

As a high-earning YouTuber, Mexify had helped out both his mother and father with jobs for his channel. He paid them for renovations to his own house and the support he received. His parents had so much time for each other and lots of plans. After 31 years of marriage and for this reason, Mexify recognizes: “My dad is the worst hit“.
The funeral took place at the end of September, but it’s clear that the YouTuber is still struggling with his emotions. “My mother was the most important person in my life“, reports Mexify and says that she was his number 1 supporter. It is understandable when the YouTuber explains: “For me the world has collapsed“.

Content remains out for now: The shocking news is the first video on Mexify’s channel in 10 months and there will likely be no YouTube content in the future. The YouTuber first has to deal with such a loss and when the time is right, new videos will come again.
“I’ll definitely keep going. I will not stop. You won’t get rid of me that quickly, guys.”
Advice to his fans: The death of his mother made something clear to Mexify and makes him regret not spending more time with his parents. “Enjoy the time with your family“, the YouTuber asks his fans. He regrets never really telling his mother directly how much he loves her and now he can’t do it at all.
